22nd Street Antique Mall - Tucson, AZ

December 31st, 2008

Joe and Rachael visited the 22nd Street Antique Mall in Tucson, Arizona. Located feet from the street it looks from the outside like any other store front in a strip-mall; unassuming exterior and double glass doors. However, when you walk in the doors it opens up to a vast 31,000 square feet of treasures to be found; numerous lit up jewelry cases and specialty
booths ...you just have to be willing to do the exploring!

One treasure Joe and I were hoping to find was the existence and proof of the ghost that purportedly haunts this location.  After entering the store Joe found the doorway which took us to the staircase that led us to the haunted booth...

The annex had been recently reopened to the public and all the stalls looked the same.

Booth #52 was filled with old school desks, suitcases and trunks.

Joe and I started our EVP session in the booth. We were occasionally interrupted by other customers walking through the area. Keeping in mind what we read in other ghost hunting books, which made a point to indicate there were no fuse boxes in the area, we did exploring around the booth. One interesting notation was a fuse box located right next to where it was supposed to be haunted...

While we did not have the opportunity to check for readings here it is certainly a possibility it could be a fear cage and could account for the heavy feelings others have experienced while there.

During our EVP session in booth # 52 Joe asked, "Do you like trunks?" and it was followed by the response "Yes."

When I was in the booth I asked that if I sat down in one of the desks would someone tell me what their favorite subject was. After the question it was followed by the response of what sounds like "Math".

While Joe was exploring the annex he asked "is there anything you want to say" which was followed by background noise then a response of "Maybe" about 22 seconds later.

We had no experiences while we were there, although I did buy a groovy looking necklace.

Plains Paranormal does not plan to investigate the Antique Mall again, although we may visit to find some good bargains!
