Northern School Supply - Fargo, ND July 24th, 2007
The Northern School Supply building was built in the early 1900's and mainly housed stationary and paper companies until North Dakota State University purchased the building to use as an annex for higher education. Reportedly it is haunted by a young boy who fell down the elevator shaft while the building was being remodeled. Late night workers claim to have heard a child crying, strange noises such as running feet and even have seen an apparition of the boy in the elevator shaft....however the original elevator shaft was built in the middle of the building and is no longer there. Our investigation started around 12:30am; Joe, Rachael and Mandy were all at the investigation. When we arrived at the building the security guard said the place had been particularly active after a long period of inactivity. The hardwood floors had just been redone so we only had access to floors 1 and 5. As the building is now a learning annex each floor consisted of a large main room with smaller rooms off of that. The guard stated the fifth floor was where the most activity had come from so we set up a camera pointing to a table where we laid a coloring book with crayons. We thought that if there was a spirit of a child we could leave something he could play with. Next to the coloring book we left an audio recorder while we investigated the rest of the building. Mandy and Rachael did some EVP sessions in rooms off the main floor but were not able to detect any EVP's when listening to the evidence. When reviewing the evidence we caught some interesting sounds. The recorder from the fifth floor had many bangs and thumps: one notably was a muffled bang like someone slapping their hand on a surface and just over a minute later a very loud bang as if someone hit the table next to the recorder and coloring book. While watching the video the same noises were detected but nothing was seen on film. Audio of this will be posted soon. As for pictures we only caught one of what could be an orb above the leg of the upturned stool: Please feel free to email us with your opinions on this picture. |
